COUNTY CLERK

The County Clerk serves as the Clerk of the Court for the County Courts at Law handling misdemeanor cases in Montgomery County. These courts hear Class A and B misdemeanor offenses such as DWIs, thefts and assaults. In Montgomery County, these courts are:

The Misdemeanor Records Division of the Clerk’s Office records information from these courts and provides administrative support through the issuance of warrants, summons, subpoenas, and commitments. Felony information is located in the District Clerk’s Office.

Occupational licenses:
Occupational licenses are filed as a new civil suit and are heard by Judge Walker, sitting in as the original court of jurisdiction, relating to the criminal misdemeanor charge.
